Finally gave way to this:
and it has been beautiful weather ever since!5/30/10 Finessed through Dodd Narrows easily before dropping anchor at Nanaimo for the night. 
5/31/10 Rainy and overcast, again. Took on Seymoure Narrows at flood tide with 11.5 Kts current (not recommended). Next time, we will wait for slack tide, as we wasted time and fuel. Dropped anchor in Binnington Bay in Camelon Harbour. Peaceful and beautiful with some sort of fish farm or hatchery nearby. Good night’s sleep after 107 miles traversed. Lots of log-dodging today.

6/1/10 Motored along 136 miles today. Dolphins were jumping alongside the boat, which the kids loved. Lots of float planes, and the other day we saw a D-18 Beach on floats, which is a rare spotting. Anchored in Safety Cove. The D-18 Beach on floats:
6/2/10 @2 am wind & swell started. Up to 70 kts. Reported in the Queen Charlotte Sound. Looks like a front is moving in. Motored along, weaving through Lama passage, Seaforth Channel, and now Finnlayson, Tolmie. The town of Bella Bella looked quaint. We spotted our first whale in Tolomie Channel! A humpback! We finally saw the sun for the first time today. Anchored in Goat Harbor (134 miles today).
